Course Overview

Have you ever wondered why certain professions, companies, and people are thought to be more ethical or less ethical than others? Are you aware of the benefits and risks of having a defined set of Core Values? Would you like to know what personal actions you and your company can take to move to a higher position of trust with your teammates and clients?

This two-part online course will cover these broad topics and much more. Through a combination of short "homework" assignments, small group discussions, and large group roundtables, you will begin to chart an intentional course to higher levels of authenticity and trust.

Meet Your Instructor

Tim Groover
TIM GROOVER

Groover Consulting, LLC

Tim graduated from Virginia Tech (BSCE 1979, MSCE 1980) with a combined focus in foundations and structural design.

He spent most of his professional career with Wiley|Wilsona full-service architecture and engineering consulting firm. He held numerous technical positions from Design Engineer through Project Manager. Tim assumed the role of Senior Director after stepping down as President late in his career. As Senior Director, Tim focused on sustaining and growing the 100% employee-owned company’s unique culture of relentless and selfless service. He also guided the company’s career and leadership development initiatives while continuing as the Director of Business Development.

In addition to his time with Wiley|Wilson, Tim also worked for two large design-build contractors (CB&I and The Haskell Company) and for an international commercial nuclear industry technical services company (Framatome).

Upon retirement, Tim’s passion for lifelong learning resulted in the birth of Groover Consulting, LLC. Through this single member LLC, Tim offers career development and leadership consulting services to individuals and organizations.
